Just bought this kettle at Costco. Easy to use. I can get my hand into the kettle, so if I need to scrub the inside I could.
NB: This kettle does NOT shut off when it starts to boil: it shuts off when it reaches the set temperature. In Calgary, water boils at 96C, so it never reaches the set temperature of 100C – and does not automatically shut off.

And my salton kettle shut off when lifted from its power supply but it’snot heating. It worked in my 1st and 2nd use but now its not.

Got this kettle from Costco as a gift. The kettle died before it was two years old and I don’t use it everyday. It was used only on the weekends. Not worth the cost.

Instructions say to boil water and add vinegar then boil water several times. After repeating this process multiple times the water STILL smells and tastes like plastic and or chemicals. I have NEVER experienced something like that with another kettle.

I just purchased at Costco a month ago and it’s useless now because the top won”t open. You sshould be able to push down on the black top and it flips open – but it doesn’t.. I have to fill it through the spout. I will be returning it.

    Hi there

Bought this nice model at Costco (autumn 2018). And now, after few months, ON button not working, starts sometimes only after several (many) pushes. And what is bad – cannot find my receipt. Your suggestions, guys?

    Thank you

Ours lasted just under 2 years. The base wiring has gone faulty even though it stays stationary on our counter. If I wiggle the cord near the base, power comes back momentarily before fading away again. We have a cheaper kettle (different brand) from 2013 that is still working fine, yet this newer model bought in 2017 has already died.
