This Salton appliance is covered against defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of original purchase.
What we'll do. If your appliance is defective, Salton will repair or replace it, or issue a refund, at its sole discretion. Any refund is pro-rated to the time left on the warranty.
What's covered. Defects in material and workmanship under normal domestic use.
What's not covered. Damage in shipment, and failure from alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, glass breakage, neglect, improper maintenance, use contrary to the operating instructions or commercial use. The warranty is not available to retailers or other commercial purchasers or owners.
Proof of purchase. Keep your original sales receipt. It is the only proof of purchase we accept.
How to make a claim. Securely package the appliance and return it to us with your original proof of purchase, a description of the defect, your return address and phone number, and payment for return shipping and handling. Brush the plates lightly with oil or melted butter before the first waffle, even if they're nonstick. Avoid aerosol sprays, which can build up a sticky residue.
Follow the amount in your manual, and start a little under. Overfilling causes batter to spill over the edges.
Set finished waffles on a wire rack in a single layer instead of stacking them. For a crowd, keep them warm on a rack in a low oven.
Unplug it and let it cool. Brush away crumbs and wipe the plates with a damp cloth. Never put the unit in water.
Wait until steam mostly stops escaping, or the ready light comes on if your model has one. Opening the lid too early can tear the waffle.
